The purpose of this Zero Tolerance Policy is to ensure a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all members of Women of ITSM. We are committed to promoting equality, diversity, and mutual respect. This policy outlines our stance against bullying, harassment, and gross misconduct, and provides guidelines for handling such incidents.
Scope
This policy applies to all members, participants, and affiliates of Women of ITSM, including but not limited to employees, volunteers, contractors, and attendees of events or programs organized by Women of ITSM.
Policy Statement
Women of ITSM maintains a zero-tolerance stance against bullying, harassment, and gross misconduct. Any form of such behaviour is strictly prohibited and will be addressed promptly and effectively.
Definitions

Bullying: Repeated, unreasonable actions directed towards an individual or group, intended to intimidate, degrade, humiliate, or undermine.

Harassment: Unwelcome conduct based on race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, religion, or any other protected characteristic, which interferes with an individual's work performance or creates an intimidating, hostile, or offensive environment.

Gross Misconduct: Actions that are so serious they justify the immediate termination of membership or employment. Examples include but are not limited to:
- Physical violence
- Theft or fraud
- Serious breaches of confidentiality
- Discrimination or hate speech
Reporting Procedures

Confidential Reporting: Any member who experiences or witnesses bullying, harassment, or gross misconduct should report the incident as soon as possible. Reports can be made confidentially via email: hello@womenofitsm.com

Investigation: All reports will be taken seriously and investigated promptly. An impartial investigation team will handle the case to ensure fairness and confidentiality. The investigation may include interviews with involved parties and witnesses, and review of relevant documents.

Resolution: Upon completion of the investigation, appropriate action will be taken. This may include but is not limited to:
- Mediation and conflict resolution sessions
- Disciplinary action, up to and including termination of membership or employment
- Referral to legal authorities if necessary

Support: Women of ITSM will provide support to those affected by bullying, harassment, or gross misconduct. This may include information for counselling services, legal advice, and other necessary resources.
Enforcement:
Non-compliance with this policy will result in termination of your membership with immediate effect and no refunds will be provided. Women of ITSM reserves the right to take any action deemed necessary to enforce this policy, including but not limited to:
- Reporting to the Police
- Legal action
Policy Review: This policy will be reviewed annually to ensure its effectiveness and relevance. Feedback from members is encouraged and will be considered in the review process.
